Location : Durham

Start Date : September 2025 or January 2026

Salary : Main Pay Scale (MPS) or UPS

Contract Type : Full-time, Permanent

About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to teach BTEC Applied Science at a well-respected institutionmitted to academic excellence and vocational success. You will play a key role in shaping the scientific understanding and practical skills of our learners, helping them progress to higher education or employment in science-related fields.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in BTEC Applied Science at Level 2 and / or Level 3.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with course requirements.
  • Support students in achieving their academic and career goals.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching BTEC Science courses.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for applied science.
  • Excellentmunication and organisational skills.

  • Experience with curriculum development or assessment for BTEC qualifications.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and platforms for teaching and learning.
