About the Role :
Our client, A nationally recognized insurance provider is seeking a Data & AI Scientist to lead the development of advanced data and AI solutions. This position is responsible for building and deploying intelligent systems that drive innovation in underwriting, claims, pricing, and customer engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI / ML, cloud platforms, and insurance industry processes.
Key Responsibilities :
Design and deploy machine learning models using supervised and unsupervised techniques.
Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for decision support.
Apply NLP and generative AI to automate workflows and personalize customer experiences.
Leverage vector databases and knowledge graphs to enhance automation in insurance operations.
Develop scalable data pipelines and cloud-native solutions using Azure ML, Databricks, and Snowflake.
Drive MLOps best practices for model lifecycle management, CI / CD, and performance optimization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify AI opportunities and define strategy.
Ensure compliance with ethical AI standards and data privacy regulations.
Mentor team members and foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred).
10+ years of experience in enterprise AI / ML development and deployment.
7+ years working with cloud platforms such as Azure ML, Databricks, and Snowflake.
Expertise in Gen AI, RAG pipelines, NLP, and vector-based search.
Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and distributed model training.
Experience in insurance domains (Auto, Home, Umbrella) is required.
Familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, and Azure OpenAI.
Strong understanding of MLOps, agile methodologies, and scalable architecture design.
