- Job Description :
The Material Planner is responsible for developing and supporting production schedules. This role requires analytical skills and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize material availability, production efficiency, and inventory levels.
- Key Responsibilities :
- Material Planning & Inventory Control :
- Develop and monitor material demand plans based on production needs and schedule changes.
- Plan inbound material shipments to align with production requirements and available warehouse capacity.
- Analyze and monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages, overstock, or storage bottlenecks.
- Work with Inventory Control and Purchasing to adjust orders and address constraints.
- Monitor, release, and close Work Orders to align with production schedules.
- Data Analysis & Reporting :
- Provide data-driven insights to support continuous improvement in material planning, material flow, and inventory optimization.
- Use Excel or other data tools to analyze production trends and capacity.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Communicate schedule changes, material shortages, and potential risks proactively.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, providing data-driven insights for decision-making.
- Key Skills & Qualifications :
- Background in production planning, materials management, or supply chain analytics
- Experience in Excel or other Data Visualization Tools
- Knowledge of ERP / MRP systems
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Great communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of Power BI, SQL, or Python is a plus.
- Experience and Education :
- Entry-Level (0-3 Years)
- Recent graduates with internships or coursework in supply chain, production planning, or logistics.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred) in :
- Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration, Logistics & Procurement
- Associate’s Degree or Certifications
- If a candidate does not have a bachelor’s degree, relevant certifications combined with work experience can compensate.
