Hiring a Mechanical Assembler to build RF electronic hardware. Must read diagrams, follow documentation, and assemble small parts with precision. Experience with industry standards and safety practices required.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform disassembly, modification, rework, reassembly, and testing of experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies in accordance with engineering specifications and simulated operational conditions.
- Communicate assembly and testing issues, drawing inaccuracies, and quality concerns to Engineering to support continuous improvement and prevent recurrence.
- Promote and uphold a culture centered on workplace safety, cleanliness, and adherence to environmental regulations.
- Build strong working relationships with peers to encourage collaboration and shared goals.
- Assemble small to medium-sized mechanical and electrical components with precision.
- Install connectors and wire harnesses as part of system builds.
- Utilize a variety of hand tools and torque tools to complete assembly tasks.
- Conduct cleaning, bonding, and measurement tasks to ensure quality and readiness of components.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in assembly or related technical roles.
- Proficient in working with small to medium-sized components and assemblies.
- Advanced skills in precision assembly of miniature parts.
- Thorough understanding of IPC and MIL standards.
- Familiarity with ISO and AS quality controls and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protocols and safe handling procedures.
- Skilled in the application and handling of epoxies and bonding agents.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Competent in the use of a wide range of hand tools and micro-tools.
- Capable of performing detailed assembly tasks under a microscope.
