Various general surgery procedures are performed, including colorectal, small bowel, appendectomies, gallbladder, exploratory laparotomy, hernia repairs, and more. Practice Setting : Inpatient Coverage Details : Coverage is needed due to extra volume. The locum tenens general surgeons will work a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule. Patients per shift : 20 - 35 census Patients include pediatric cases for appendectomies. Rounding on general surgery patients is required. No elective surgeries, primarily ED and inpatient cases. Shift Schedule : Shift 1 : 6am-4pm Shift 2 : 12pm-10pm No call required for this position. Requirements : Board Certification : Eligible Fellowship : Preferred Washington State License : Required BLS certification required. Preferred skills include experience in trauma surgery, pediatric surgery, and a variety of general surgery procedures.
