Roving – Orange County / Long Beach Region Department : Maintenance Employment Type : Full-Time, Non-Exempt Schedule : Monday – Friday, 7 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM (Flexible 8-hour shift within this window; on-call availability required) Hourly Pay Range : $30.00 – $36.00 / hour (Based on experience and proficiency) Purpose Pan American Properties is seeking an experienced Roving Appliance Technician to join our regional maintenance team.
This position plays a critical role in supporting multiple properties by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential appliances, ensuring our communities operate smoothly and residents feel at home.
This is a field-based role ideal for someone with strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to quality service.
Duties and Responsibilities Appliance Repair & Diagnostics Diagnose and repair residential appliances including refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and microwaves Perform preventive maintenance to ensure appliances run efficiently and meet safety standards Stay current on appliance technologies, models, and repair methods Communicate effectively with residents and team members regarding diagnoses, timelines, and outcomes Complete service logs, repair documentation, and parts usage reports with accuracy Work Order Execution & Field Service Respond promptly to daily work orders using Corrigo or similar work order platforms Execute repairs in compliance with Pan American quality standards and budget guidelines Assist with appliance installation and removal as needed during unit turns or renovations Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment across all sites Ensure all required tools, parts, and equipment are available for each assignment Preventive & Proactive Maintenance Conduct seasonal and routine inspections of appliances across properties to identify wear or potential failures Collaborate with site teams and other maintenance techs to schedule proactive service checks Ensure fire safety and operational readiness of related systems, including connections, cords, breakers, and ventilation What We’re Looking For Experience Minimum 3+ years of hands-on appliance repair or highly related maintenance experience Comfort working in field service roles and traveling to multiple property locations throughout the day Familiarity with appliance warranty claims and parts ordering (preferred but not required) Skills & Traits Excellent mechanical and diagnostic skills Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship Ability to read, write, and speak in conversational English to communicate with residents, complete service reports, and follow instructions Strong time management and task prioritization skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Customer service-oriented with clear communication skills Familiarity with mobile / email platforms (e.g., Outlook) and work order systems like Corrigo Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required Advanced technical or vocational training strongly preferred Must have valid California driver’s license, reliable personal transportation, and proof of insurance ( non-negotiable ) Must pass a background check and drug screening (a conviction does not necessarily disqualify you) Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship (E-Verify required) Must be available for occasional after-hours emergency calls Physical Requirements Must be able to safely operate a vehicle throughout the day Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, climbing, lifting, reaching, and use of hand tools Frequently lift up to 50 lbs (occasional team lifts of 100+ lbs) Must have full use of vision, hearing, and dexterity to safely diagnose and complete repairs Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions and residential indoor environments Must be able to work in environments where dust, noise, and household chemicals are present Why Join Pan American Properties?
