Job descriptionDeliver SOLO To : TX, LA, and MS Route : Local Home Daily / Regional 1 layover per week Tractor Type : Day Cab and Sleeper Trailer Type : 48' - 53' Dry Van with Lift Gate Equipment : Pallet Jack and Lift Gate Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful Freight : Touch Automotive Parts Endorsements : Hazmat - At Time of Interview Must have 12 Months Hazmat Experience No Automatic Restriction Route delivery experience required Immediate 401 k rollover and contributions with company match at one year HIGH VALUED Stock at 15% Employee Discount UNIFORMS, CELL PHONE AND BOOT ALLOWANCE PROVIDED We love our Ryder babies and offer 12 weeks of PAID Maternity Leave for qualifying employees (eligibility requirements, including work tenure, apply) Quality Employee Discounts that actually save you Money on Tools, Cars, Hotels Worldwide, Electronics / Appliances, Cell Phones, Travel, and more Ryder Drivers are the Captain of the Ship OUR DRIVERS make decisions to keep yourself and others safe and we protect your job when you do Minimum 21 years of age Pass a Ryder Drug Test Pass a Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years Pass a DOT physical Pass a Ryder road test Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle : 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years Ability to follow written and / or oral instructions Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and / or procedures This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to : Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and / or state laws, regulations, and / or agency rules, standards and guidelines Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs Loading / Unloading freight or assisting in the loading / unloading of freight if required by customer Other tasks as assigned
SOLO Part Time Class A CDL Hazmat Truck Driver
Immediate opening for a SOLO Part Time Class A CDL Hazmat Truck Driver and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Houston, TX
$800 or more per week - And it gets better
- Driver Positions Pay Weekly
- Solo Miles Pay : $0.60 per Mile with 800+ Miles per Week
- Solo Stops Pay : $24.43 per Stop with 10-15 Stops per Week
- Per Diem Pay : $26.52 per Night with 1 Night out per Week
- On call & schedule Mix
- 35 hrs a week at most
- Schedule : Monday - Saturday Work Options
- Start Time : 10 : 00 PM - 4 : 00 AM
- Paid Training
Trucks are three years or newer. Ryder Drivers Service the Route, not the Truck. All Drivers have 24 / 7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities.
