Job Type : Contract / Full-time (Staffing Assignment)

About the Role

United Health Services Hospitals Inc. is seeking a skilled and compassionate Audiologist to join our Audiology Department. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive audiological services to inpatients, outpatients, home care patients, and community members. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment alongside ENT professionals within a well-equipped medical office located directly across from our main hospital campus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct complete audiological evaluations, including air, bone, and speech testing.
  • Perform middle ear analysis, site of lesion testing, and ototoxic medication monitoring.
  • Administer and interpret specialized assessments such as NICU hearing screening, CAP testing, and electrophysiological testing.
  • Conduct industrial hearing screenings and hearing aid evaluations.
  • Manage selection, fitting, and follow-up of amplification devices.
  • Provide counseling for individuals or groups with hearing impairments.
  • Perform minor repairs and modifications on hearing instruments.
  • Assist in program development and continuous quality assurance initiatives.
  • Prepare diagnostic reports and communicate results and recommendations to referring physicians.
  • Ensure compliance with all medical record-keeping standards (OSHM, JCAHO, and certifying bodies).
  • Maintain adherence to service delivery standards and uphold patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

Required Education :

  • Master’s Degree in Audiology
  • Required Licensure :

  • Current and valid New York State Audiology License (must be active at the time of start)
  • Preferred Experience :

  • Prior hospital or clinical experience
  • Experience working with infant, pediatric, and geriatric populations
  • Work Environment

    The Audiology Department is small and team-oriented, providing a comfortable and professional work setting. The facility is located within a medical office building directly across from the main hospital campus, allowing for easy collaboration with ENT specialists and other healthcare professionals.
