Job Summary :
Full-Time positions available for PSIA / AASI (foreign equivalent) certified instructors.

The Instructor will provide quality ski / snowboard instruction to groups and individuals in a safe and fun manner. Teach ski techniques and principles to guests of all levels. Focus on advanced skiers. Teach a variety of alpine lessons. Understand, abide by and promote rules and procedures set forth in Resource and Guidelines manual, including lift-loading and safety protocols. Train other ski instructors.

Upholding the highest levels of guest safety on varied terrain in high altitude, with varying winter weather conditionsClearly and accurately instructing assigned levels of skiing or snowboarding to students, both physically and verballyEnsuring that students are matched to appropriate skier / snowboarding skill level and working with supervisors / managers to make appropriate changes when necessaryAssisting guests with transportation of equipmentAssisting guests to load and unload the chairliftCommunicating instructions and helping guests to their feet during a lesson.Teach ski principles and techniques to guests of all levels.Teach a variety of lessons including group / private and children / adult.Create fun, safe and engaging environment.Understand and promote rules and procedures set forth by ski school manual including proper lift-loading / unloading and safety protocols.Assist with responsibilities such as registering guests, directing them to equipment fitting sources, and maintaining teaching areas.Train other ski instructors, as needed.Working with guests of all ages and abilitiesWhen working with children : Supervising children in class at all times; assisting at lunch and snack times; ensuring return of children to identified guardianWhen working with children : Assisting in operational responsibilities of Ski & Snowboard programs including but not limited to registration process, directing guests to appropriate equipment fitting source, upkeep of outdoor teaching areas, and cleanliness of facilities.Other duties as assigned.Job Requirements :
High School or equivalent educationAttend Ski and Snowboard training sessionsCurrent PSIA / AASI Level 3 certification or foreign equivalent and able to provide proof of certification cardPrior experience working as a ski / snowboard instructorBasic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and browser applications; basic internet navigationMust be fluent in all aspects of the English language (spoken and written)Must have excellent guest service skillsMust have excellent communication skillsMust work well in a teamMust successfully complete the background checkPhysical ability to respond appropriately to emergency and other unplanned situationsMust be able to stand and walk on snow for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend and squat. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.Must be able to work in inclement weather in a high alpine environmentMust have sight, speech, and hearing abilities sufficient to learn skills, follow and provide directionsMust be available to work holidays and weekendsJob Requirements :

This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
