Help students with special needs build life skills, confidence, and independence in a supportive school environment
Your Role as a School Psychologist
Provide family counseling, support, and education to help caregivers better understand and assist their children's developmental and emotional needs.
Consult with classroom teams and provide crisis management services to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
Perform and oversee psychological assessments to determine students' needs and strengths, guiding intervention planning.
Prepare written reports outlining students' needs, treatment strategies, goals, and objectives; maintain accurate progress records.
Actively participate in IRB committees, interdisciplinary team meetings, clinical team meetings, and Greenspan meetings to ensure coordinated care.
Deliver psychoeducational training to staff members as needed to support student success and professional growth.
Contribute to the creation and implementation of social-emotional curriculum that supports students' development.
Attend staff development sessions and continuing education programs to maintain professional competence.
Supervise and train psychology students to support their clinical development and professional readiness.
