Certified Surgical Technician

The Virginia Eye Institute (VEI) is hiring! VEI is a large and dynamic practice of ophthalmologists and optometrists in the Richmond, VA area.

We are searching for a Certified Surgical Tech to join our busy practice.

Job Purpose

This position exists to assist surgeons in the operating room by preparing supplies and instruments that are case / surgeon specific. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring a safe patient care environment where all safety / sterile technique guidelines are followed.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during operative procedures
• Gather appropriate, case / surgeon specific supplies, equipment, and instrumentation
• Ensure a safe, sterile surgical environment utilizing accepted standards and recommended practices
• Follows manufacturer's instructions for use for all supplies, equipment and instrumentation
