Job description

ZM Trucks is seeking a Sales Manager that will drive the sales of our battery electric Terminal Trucks in the US and achieve the company’s sales, business and profitability objectives. The Sales Manager will develop and enhance the relationships with Terminal Truck operators mainly located in domestic ports and airports. This position will require extensive involvement in multi-party tenders and contract management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage your existing relationships and build new ones with Terminal Trucks operators across the country
  • Develop and execute sales plans and strategies to increase market penetration
  • Create and manage the sales funnel for your accounts and ensure timely progress is being made on leads and prospects, to achieve and exceed truck sales goals
  • Demonstrate strong technical competence to explain the details of the truck, its primary components, the charging solutions, and how they would fit into the site operations and infrastructure
  • Travel as needed for in-person customer visits, site assessments, demos, and to perform customer training.
  • Nurture existing customer relationships to ensure all needs are met and they have what is needed to accelerate future orders
  • Ensure all relevant customer engagements are tracked in our sales systems for follow-up, visibility by others in the organization, and history retention
  • Identify improvement opportunities in our sales materials or resources and bring the ideas to optimize them
  • Collaborate with teammates and cross-functionally to provide the best customer experience
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Education :
  • University degree, M.Sc. is preferred or equivalent experience in engineering and sales.
  • Experience :
  • 5+ Years of demonstrated successful terminal truck sales experience
  • Good Technical understanding of our type of products.
  • Existing relationships with terminal vehicle purchasing executives
  • Must be willing and able to travel and be on-site with customers
  • Proven technical ability to understand and communicate component functionality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) including demonstrated competence with Excel to talk through financial modeling of recommended solutions
  • Strong written, and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • A “can do” attitude and ability to structure “win-win" deals
  • Passion, drive, self-motivation, and competitive fire
  • Skills & Competencies :
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to communicate with individuals and / or groups at all organizational levels.
  • Fluent in English both in speaking and writing. Additional languages skills such as Spanish are of great interest.
