General Clerk III

Position Summary :

A General Clerk III performs a wide range of administrative and clerical duties that require judgment and some subject-matter knowledge often including handling a variety of records preparing reports and assisting with administrative matters. This role may involve data entry document management and responding to inquiries as well as potentially directing lower-level clerks. Key responsibilities often include maintaining filing systems managing mail verifying information and compiling data while working independently within established procedures.

Key Responsibilities :

• Maintain and organize a wide variety of records both manually and electronically. This includes filing scanning and managing physical and digital documents according to established procedures and standards.
• Compile and verify data for accuracy input information into databases and generate reports.
• Assist with various administrative tasks such as copying mailing and ordering supplies.
• Handle and respond to inquiries from the public or internal staff via phone email or in person.
• Draft and prepare routine correspondence and reports.
• Receive sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.
