Job Title : Travel Respiratory Therapist (Night Shift) Location : Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV Shift : 6 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 AM Contract Type : Travel Assignment Duration : 13 Weeks (with potential for extension)
Job Summary : Seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, West Virginia. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients across various acuity levels, demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and thrive in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Responsibilities :
Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physiciansOperate and maintain mechanical ventilators and other respiratory equipmentMonitor patient responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans as neededPerform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysisEducate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment useCollaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomesEnsure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standardsRequirements :
Active Respiratory Therapist license in West Virginia or eligibility for licensureMinimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience (hospital setting preferred)Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)Strong knowledge of respiratory care practices and equipmentExcellent communication and critical thinking skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamCompletion of all onboarding and compliance requirementsRequired Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALSMust Have Skills / Experience : Ability to work independently ( Critical Access Hospital), Comfortable with being only RT on shift, Strong critical thinking and problem solving, Experience in ER and Critical care settings.
