Job Title : Travel Respiratory Therapist (Night Shift) Location : Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV Shift : 6 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 AM Contract Type : Travel Assignment Duration : 13 Weeks (with potential for extension)

Job Summary : Seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, West Virginia. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients across various acuity levels, demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and thrive in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians
  • Operate and maintain mechanical ventilators and other respiratory equipment
  • Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment use
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

    • Requirements :

  • Active Respiratory Therapist license in West Virginia or eligibility for licensure
  • Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience (hospital setting preferred)
  • Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of respiratory care practices and equipment
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Completion of all onboarding and compliance requirements
  • Required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS
  • Must Have Skills / Experience : Ability to work independently ( Critical Access Hospital), Comfortable with being only RT on shift, Strong critical thinking and problem solving, Experience in ER and Critical care settings.
