The Role

The Lead IT Systems Engineer - Federal will provide Tier 3 support and serve as a technical expert for the Customer sponsored Optical Network & Data Communications Network (DCN) and Internet Protocol (IP) backbone integral to the management of the network. The Network Engineer will reside on site.

The Main Responsibilities

• Develops and supports the transition plans associated with these activities and support laboratory-enabled execution activities - protection of the Optical Network & DCN will require analysis of vulnerabilities.
• Assumes operation and maintenance responsibility for the optical network - includes setup, configuration, and writing of scripts to ensure regular backup images are created.
• Manage all aspects of network operations related to performance and fault management.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges :

$114,082 - $152,109 in these states : VA.
