Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with an active CA license and hospital or outpatient experience for a 13-week acute care assignment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is based in a hospital setting with responsibilities in both inpatient and outpatient care
  • Assignment length is 13 weeks with 10-hour shifts
  • Involves rehabilitation therapy for diverse patient populations
  • Main responsibilities include patient assessment, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, and documentation
  • Role may involve providing supervision to Physical Therapist Assistants, orienting staff or students, and assuming supervisory duties when needed
  • Expected to participate in department performance improvement, infection control, safety, and education initiatives
  • Patient and family education is an essential part of the position
  • No COVID vaccination requirement specified for this role
  • Local candidates are accepted with no specified radius restriction

  • Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association accredited training program
  • Current CA Physical Therapy license required if applicable
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years experience preferred, though new graduates and Physical Therapist License Applicants (PTLA) will be considered
  • Experience in acute care, skilled nursing facility, outpatient, or sub-acute settings is preferred
