Job descriptionDocuments chief complaint, history of present illness, pertinent review of systems, and exam findings in electronic health record (“EHR”). Reviews and updates past medical history, family history, social history, medications, and allergies in EHR. Reviews vital signs. Reviews results and reports from prior orders. Places new orders. Performs and documents testing and procedures. Administers medications and immunizations. Determines and documents assessment and plan. Prescribes medications. Provides patient education, guidance, counseling and / or psychotherapy. Arranges plan for follow-up. Signs EHR encounter within timelines in established policies and procedures. Responds to related patient questions or needs which arise following encounter. Adheres to established scheduling templates in provision of patient care. Participates in quality metrics directives and departmental quality improvement (QI) projects. Attends clinical site meetings regularly. Attends practice-wide meetings regularly. Reads emails and other platforms of communication within organization. Completes peer review. Complies with Clinical Quality Measures expectations. Uses resources to verify standards of care. Modifies workflows as determined by department to attain QI objectives. Consistently documents activities related to QI projects. Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in good standing with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Current certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) licensure. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Job Summary
Provides outpatient advanced mental health care in partnership with one or more supervising physicians.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Practices advanced mental health care for each patient visit.
Completes pertinent history and examination.
Attends practitioners’ meetings regularly.
3. Participates in on-call patient care rotation.
a. Maintains availability to receive phone calls throughout dates of on-call service.
b. Responds to on-call contact within timelines in established policies and procedures.
c. Documents on-call patient care in EHR.
d. Notifies patient's primary care physician of on-call patient care.
