Salary :

Job Summary : Maxwell is looking for Superintendents to oversee and coordinate all of the activities of a construction site according to project blueprints and schedule plans. Duties include coordinating subcontractors, performing safety checks and providing on-site direction when preparing construction sites.

Description of Tasks :

  • Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress and resource allocation.
  • Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs.
  • Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, other construction management to determine budget and timeline.
  • Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers
  • Create schedules for workers and subcontractors
  • Hire additional subcontractors and assign work accordingly
  • Maintain a daily log for the job sites operations, reporting to management as necessary
  • Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines
  • Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient

Position Requirements :

  • Minimum of 10 years of field experience in the commercial construction industry
  • OSHA 30 preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities to manage and direct on-site project teams to successful completions

    • Physical Demands :

  • Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, walk, and work at heights for extended periods of time.
  • Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.
  • Lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds.
  • Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects while carrying tools and equipment.
  • Vision ability to see details at close range and details at a distance (naturally orwith correction) and distinguish colors.

    • Environmental Conditions :

  • May work outside and exposed to weather.
  • Wear protective or safety equipment, i.e., safety boots / shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats.
  • Work in dusty or dirty surroundings.
  • May be exposed to high levels of noise, grease, dust, and a variety of substances that are typically associated with a construction site.
