Med / Surg Tele RN Job Details

Location : Cottonwood, Arizona 86326

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) contract

Facility Type : Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital, Level IV Trauma Center

Unit : Med / Surg Telemetry Flex Pool

Start Date : November 10, 2025

End Date : February 9, 2026

Duration : 13-week nursing assignment

Shifts : 3x12 or 4x12 hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week (facility may call off up to 6 shifts per 13-week contract)

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Floating : Required to float to all Med / Surg Telemetry units as needed

Scrub Color : Navy Blue

Charting : Cerner EMR

Parking : Free on-site parking

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,710–$1,750

Med / Surg Tele RN Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience in a U.S. hospital setting

Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact state nursing license (pending accepted)

Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Experience with Cerner charting system preferred

Ability to float to various Med / Surg Telemetry units as needed

Willingness to work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract

Strong skills in telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV starts / maintenance, and neuro stepdown preferred

Two professional references required (one from most recent employer within the past year)

Med / Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med / Surg Telemetry setting

Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and deliver neuro stepdown care

Start and maintain IVs, administer medications, and follow all facility safety protocols (including BCMA)

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response

Float between Med / Surg Telemetry units as staffing needs require

Utilize standard Med / Surg Telemetry equipment and Liko lifts in patient rooms

Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR

Participate in orientation and complete required training modules during the first week
