Job description

Summary

We are seeking a proactive and customer-oriented IT Helpdesk Support Technician to join our IT team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, supporting end users, and learning in a fast-paced construction environment. You'll provide frontline support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues across our office and field operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level support for Windows 11 laptops, desktops and Apple iPads used by office staff and field teams.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Assist with setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of laptops, desktops, printers, and iOS mobile devices.
  • Perform basic network troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi issues at job trailers and VPN access for remote users.
  • Support mobile device management (MDM) and deployment of company-issued tablets.
  • Log and manage incidents and service requests using the IT ticketing system.
  • Assist with onboarding / offboarding tasks, including provisioning of user accounts and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support procedures and asset inventory.
  • Occasionally travel to local job sites to provide hands-on support.

  • Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, especially when supporting non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a project-driven environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
  • Familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems (e.g., Freshservice, ServiceNow).
  • Exposure to Active Directory and user account management.
  • Experience supporting users in construction or field-based environments is a plus.
  • Experience with Autodesk Design and Project management tools is a plus.
  • Physical Demands :

  • Desk work with some lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Work Environment :

  • Office and warehouse environment with some opportunities to visit jobsites.
