ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Prescott, Arizona.

RN - ICU Float Pool

Job Details : \n

  • Work 12-hour shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 AM (day and night shifts available)

    • \n

  • Float pool assignment across multiple units : ICU, MedSurg Tele, and PCU across both campuses

    • \n

  • May include inpatients holding in Emergency Department

    • \n

  • Every other weekend requirement

    • \n

  • Holiday schedule included in permanent staff rotation

    • \n

  • Nurse-to-patient ratios : PCU 1 : 4, MedSurg Tele 1 : 5-6

    • \n

  • Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts prior to contract signing

    • \n

  • At least 1 year ICU experience required

    • \n

  • Must be comfortable titrating drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin

    • \n

  • Required certifications : BLS and ACLS

    • \n

  • Must be able to interpret cardiac strips

    • \n

  • Notification of unit assignment via text message 2 hours prior to shift start

    • \n

  • Travel between campuses required (20-25 minutes distance)

    • \n

  • Standby requirement when excessive staffing occurs

    • \n

  • Must be flexible with scheduling as scheduler creates float pool assignments

    • \n

  • Care for geriatric patients, orthopedic patients, post-procedural cardiac patients, post-MI, post-cardiac catheterization, and CABG post-op patients

    • \n

  • Work with respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high flow

    • \n

  • Solid color professional scrubs required (transitioning to navy scrubs in October)

    • \n

  • Use Cerner charting system

    • \n

  • 32-hour orientation : 8-hour general hospital orientation, 12-hour shift at West MedTele, and 12-hour shift at PCU

    • \n\n

The facility features a strong cardiac catheterization program and specializes in caring for geriatric and orthopedic patients. The organization maintains modern equipment and technology, including advanced respiratory support systems and cardiac monitoring capabilities. The medical center emphasizes quality patient care with dedicated charge nurses on each unit and monitor technicians supporting telemetry services.
