What You'll Do
As a Senior Field Service Engineer, you will be the key liaison between Applied Materials and our customers, ensuring their equipment operates at peak performance. You will actively troubleshoot high-value technical issues on-site, collaborate with our dedicated teams, and significantly enhance our service delivery.
Role Responsibilities :
Install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment.
Utilize diagnostic techniques to assess equipment and resolve technical issues, seeking guidance from senior team members as needed.
Engage with senior engineers and customers to comprehend operational roadmaps, requirements, and business challenges.
Mentor and train junior engineers, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on various systems, including electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
Ensure effective communication and coordination with customers throughout your assignments.
Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications :
Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or relevant trade certification.
4-7 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or a similar equipment support role.
Advanced mechanical skills, particularly with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics.
Proficient in using hand tools, including digital multimeters, with a strong understanding of their applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport for occasional travel.
Must meet all safety and environmental compliance regulations.
Physical Requirements :
This position involves extensive walking, standing, and working in tight spaces. You will need to perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching, as well as work at height and lift objects weighing up to 35 lbs. Distinguishing colors and working with electricity is also required, along with the ability to adapt to environments with significant noise levels.
Furthermore, as this role may engage with clean room environments, you must be prepared to utilize Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, and face shields.

U.S. Salary Range : $37.00 - $51.15
