    SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER

    As a member of the Advanced Logic team, you will act in a consultative and hands on role to support our clients with their existing Cisco and Meraki networks including LAN / WAN and Security requirements. Working with other Engineers, you will be part of a team that builds strong relationships with customers, providing high level technical support and voicing product use cases based on customer needs.

    To be successful in this role, you must be based within Central or Southwest Virginia and willing to travel to client sites as needed. This position affords you the opportunity to work from home or at one of our regional offices when onsite client support is not required.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO - RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support and lead efforts of the design, testing, evaluation and implementation of new architectures and technologies
  • Architect, implement and support solutions using Business Continuity and Data Protection technologies
  • Assist with requirements gathering for proper design / installations
  • Work closely with OEM, break-fix and integration vendors during systems implementation and troubleshooting
  • Participate in meetings with customers, providing input on various initiatives
  • Collaborate with third-party support and service vendors to ensure systems stay operational (support during an outage)
  • Prepare client documentation including network designs, network assessments, implementation plans, and post-implementation documentation
  • Follow up with client, provide feedback and see problems through to resolution
  • Keep apprised of patches, latest technologies, and upcoming infrastructure installations
  • Research new technologies
  • WHO YOU ARE - JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive ASA firewall experience
  • Extensive Meraki experience
  • Extensive routing experience (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.) including configuration, redistribution and troubleshooting
  • Able to work with minimal direction
  • ADDITIONAL SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Active CCNP certification (Security, Route / Switch)
  • Extensive Packet Capture experience - fluent with Wireshark a plus
  • Knowledge of Palo Alto and Fortinet networking products is a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft, EMC, Pure or VMWare is a plus
