SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER
As a member of the Advanced Logic team, you will act in a consultative and hands on role to support our clients with their existing Cisco and Meraki networks including LAN / WAN and Security requirements. Working with other Engineers, you will be part of a team that builds strong relationships with customers, providing high level technical support and voicing product use cases based on customer needs.
To be successful in this role, you must be based within Central or Southwest Virginia and willing to travel to client sites as needed. This position affords you the opportunity to work from home or at one of our regional offices when onsite client support is not required.
WHAT YOU WILL DO - RESPONSIBILITIES
Support and lead efforts of the design, testing, evaluation and implementation of new architectures and technologiesArchitect, implement and support solutions using Business Continuity and Data Protection technologiesAssist with requirements gathering for proper design / installationsWork closely with OEM, break-fix and integration vendors during systems implementation and troubleshootingParticipate in meetings with customers, providing input on various initiativesCollaborate with third-party support and service vendors to ensure systems stay operational (support during an outage)Prepare client documentation including network designs, network assessments, implementation plans, and post-implementation documentationFollow up with client, provide feedback and see problems through to resolutionKeep apprised of patches, latest technologies, and upcoming infrastructure installationsResearch new technologiesWHO YOU ARE - JOB REQUIREMENTS
Extensive ASA firewall experienceExtensive Meraki experienceExtensive routing experience (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.) including configuration, redistribution and troubleshootingAble to work with minimal directionADDITIONAL SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS
Active CCNP certification (Security, Route / Switch)Extensive Packet Capture experience - fluent with Wireshark a plusKnowledge of Palo Alto and Fortinet networking products is a plusKnowledge of Microsoft, EMC, Pure or VMWare is a plus
