Water-Wastewater Engineer, Project Manager

AECOMs   Water Business Line is seeking a talented Water-Wastewater Project Manager with a passion for water wastewater conveyance treatment plant evaluation design and construction. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an established career serving as a client-facing project manager on regional and municipal water and wastewater treatment projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to immediately contribute to an established and successful water practice in the Western and Upstate New York area (Buffalo NY) working on a diverse range of technically challenging water resources projects.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to :

• Lead multi-discipline and complex water and wastewater design projects from the planning through permitting and construction phases including alternative delivery projects.
• Manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects to approved scope budget and schedule.
• Perform technical reviews and implement AECOM quality standards.
• Serve as a point of contact internally and externally for projects and clients in the Western and Upstate New York Area.
• Develop and mentor mid-level and junior staff for career development.
• Have decision-making authority and direct others in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.
• Lead business development activities including pursuing new clients and projects and serving as leader of proposal efforts including technical and cost pricing.
• Actively participate in water and wastewater organizations through presentations at conferences and volunteering.
• This position requires travel within New York and nearby states.
• The selected candidate must be available to work in Buffalo NY on a scheduled basis.
