Job Description :
Senior OpenShift Administrator with deep expertise in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and AWS-based clusters. This role will be responsible for the administration, configuration, scaling, and troubleshooting of OpenShift clusters supporting enterprise-grade applications within a cloud-native environment. The ideal candidate has a strong Linux and Red Hat background, container orchestration experience, and a solid understanding of AWS infrastructure services and networking.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain Red Hat OpenShift clusters deployed on AWS (including OCP upgrades, patching, and monitoring).
- Design and implement cluster management strategies-worker node scaling, load balancing, auto-scaling groups, and multi-AZ architectures.
- Manage cluster resources, namespaces, and policies for security, compliance, and governance.
- Deploy and troubleshoot applications and operators using Helm, YAML manifests, and CI / CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud Engineering teams to optimize Kubernetes and OpenShift deployments for performance and cost efficiency.
- Integrate OpenShift with AWS services (EBS, Route53, ALB / NLB, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Automate operational tasks using Ansible, Terraform, or other infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools.
- Monitor and optimize cluster health, logging, and alerting through Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch stacks.
- Ensure platform security, including RBAC configuration, certificate management, and vulnerability patching.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for cluster or containerized workloads.
- Document procedures, SOPs, and architecture diagrams to support ongoing operations.
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of overall IT systems administration experience.3+ years dedicated to Red Hat OpenShift (v4.x preferred).Strong background in Linux administration (Red Hat Enterprise Linux or CentOS).Proven hands-on experience managing OpenShift clusters in AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, IAM integration).Proficiency with Kubernetes concepts-pods, services, deployments, ingress, config maps, secrets, and persistent volumes.Experience with CI / CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD.Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, Ansible, or Terraform).Familiarity with networking and security concepts within AWS and OpenShift (VPC, subnets, routing, TLS, RBAC).Excellent troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
