Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) $200per visit

National Home Health is an industry leader in post-acute home health care services. We are currently seeking a California Registered Speech Therapist who will be going to individual patient homes in order to provide treatment as ordered by the patient's physician.

• Immediate needs in the following areas :
• Alameda County and surrounding areas
• Job duties include but are not limited to the following :
• Evaluates speech and language abilities and patient's level of function.
• Plans and administers rehabilitative services for speech and language disorders.
• Assists in developing and implementing the patient plan of care.
• Observes, reports and records types of patient treatment as well as patient's progress and / or regression.
• Submits written reports of patient progress at the designated intervals of every thirty (30) days and at discharge using the appropriate forms.
• Selects and administers diagnostic and therapeutic techniques and material for patient evaluation and treatment purposes.
• Instructs, teaches, supervises and counsels other applicable personnel and family members in methods of assisting the patient in improving, correction and / or accepting his or her disabilities.
• Instructs, teaches and supervises the patient's family in the total speech therapy program.
• Participates in in-service education and staff development activities.
• Evaluates home environment and makes appropriate recommendations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Qualifications :
• ST must be a certified member of the American Speech and Hearing Association.
• Possess a Master's degree in speech pathology or its equivalent
• At least one (1) year of supervised work experience with adult patients
• Licensed by the California Board of Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers.
