Travel Nursing Job Details – ICU RN

Location : Hilo, HI 96720 (Hawaii healthcare jobs)

Setting : Intensive Care Unit (ICU / CCU)

Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 10 / 2025 – End : 2 / 9 / 2026)

Shifts per Week : 3 twelve-hour shifts (following orientation)

Shift Options : Day or Night shifts, determined per roster period

Additional Call : 2 twelve-hour call shifts per 4-week roster period

Unit Size : 11-bed ICU

Nurse-to-Patient Ratio : 2 : 1

Dress Code : Professional scrubs

Orientation : 1 week (up to 40 hours)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680 - $1800

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of recent ICU nursing experience

Active Hawaii RN license or willingness to obtain (Hawaii nursing jobs)

BLS and ACLS certifications required

NIH Stroke Scale certification (can be completed online during orientation)

Proficiency with Meditech EMR system

Ability to float to other critical care and step-down units as needed

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in the ICU

Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress

Administer medications, manage IVs, and operate critical care equipment

Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and families to develop and implement care plans

Respond to emergencies and deliver life-saving interventions

Participate in unit orientation and ongoing professional development

Float to other units as required to support hospital staffing needs
