Vast is looking for a Station Test Technician (ECLSS) , reporting to the Hardware Development Supervisor , to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations.

The Station Test Engineering team takes pride in crafting cutting-edge mechanisms, fluid systems, and electronics to test hardware critical to the Environmental Control and Life Support Systems (ECLSS) to support life onboard our artificial-gravity commercial space station. This is a crucial role, as it involves planning and executing testing of components that are absolutely critical to the safety of future astronauts and passengers.

This will be a full-time, non-exempt position located in our Long Beach location.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, clean, and activate ground support equipment and test articles in partnership with engineering, with a focus on pressurized ground systems
• Operate, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and modify manufacturing and testing equipment, including pressurized systems from vacuum to 20,000 psig, pneumatic and hydraulic, oxygen systems, refrigerant systems, and data and control systems
• Support development, acceptance, qualification, and investigative test campaigns via build and operation of ground support and flight equipment
• Maintain laboratory and workshop, including cleanliness, stocking of consumables, tool control, and supporting design and build infrastructure to support above activities
• Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions in support of above activities

Salary Range : California $21.33 — $50 USD COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Base salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand.
