Role : Senior Data Engineer (WebMD)

Location : Hybrid (US)

Type : Full-time (Permanent)

Comp : $144,000$160,000 base + discretionary bonus

Summary :

Were seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and models supporting analytics and business intelligence at WebMD. The ideal candidate will have deep experience across Microsofts data stackparticularly Azure Data Factory, Synapse, SSIS, SQL, Power BI, and DAX.

Responsibilities :

Design and implement scalable data pipelines in Azure Data Factory and Synapse

Develop and optimize ETL processes using SSIS and SQL

Build and maintain data models (including star schema designs) for reporting and analytics

Collaborate with analysts and business users to design efficient data flows into Power BI dashboards

Ensure data accuracy, quality, and security throughout all stages of the data lifecycle

Develop reusable data solutions and automation scripts to streamline operations

Optimize large datasets for performance and cost efficiency

Support cloud data architecture design and best practices in Azure

Required Skills :

7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or BI Developer

Strong SQL and DAX skills

Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and SSIS

Expertise in data modeling and ETL development

Experience with Power BI and building enterprise-grade dashboards

Proven ability to manage large data volumes and performance tuning

Preferred Skills :

Azure Cloud certification(s)

Familiarity with data science or machine learning environments

Experience with HIPAA or healthcare data privacy standards
