Compensation :
Salary : $60,000–$75,000 annually, based on experience

Key Responsibilities of the Wastewater Treatment Specialist :
Operate, monitor, and precisely adjust plant equipment to ensure peak wastewater treatment efficiency.
Collect, prepare, and analyze samples to guarantee compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental standards.
Perform essential preventative and corrective maintenance on key components like pumps, motors, valves, and related mechanical systems.
Accurately record and report all operational data, flow readings, and laboratory test results.
Proactively troubleshoot mechanical and process issues to minimize downtime and prevent regulatory violations.
Assist the team with the calibration and repair of specialized instruments and control systems.
Ensure the cleanliness and safety of all work areas in compliance with plant policies and OSHA guidelines.
Provide necessary support for emergency response and after-hours on-call operations as required.
Qualifications of the Wastewater Treatment Specialist :
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
Minimum of 2–3 years of direct wastewater treatment or utilities operations experience.
Valid Wastewater Operator License (Grade II or higher strongly preferred).
Working knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, standard laboratory testing protocols, and SCADA systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude with a proven ability to troubleshoot and perform equipment repairs.
Exceptional attention to detail, commitment to safety awareness, and strong problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility data entry systems.
Reliable transportation and willingness to work occasional weekends or on-call shifts.
