Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as a Telemetry Technician on the night shift (1800-0630). This role involves continuous cardiac monitoring and surveillance of telemetry patients, ensuring timely recognition and reporting of rhythm changes and potentially life-threatening arrhythmias to the Registered Nurse following established protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor patient cardiac rhythms and physiological parameters.
- Observe, document, and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms.
- Recognize rhythm abnormalities and promptly communicate concerns to nursing staff.
- Operate and troubleshoot monitoring equipment effectively.
- Respond appropriately to monitor alarms and emergency situations.
- Maintain composure and communicate clearly in high-pressure environments.
- Utilize office equipment such as fax machines, scanners, copiers, telephones, and computers for documentation and communication.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient monitoring initiation and discontinuation.
- Adhere to confidentiality and proper management of patient records.
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.Completion of a Telemetry Technician or ECG interpretation course preferred.One to two years of relevant work experience preferred.Certified Nursing Assistant experience in a patient care setting is advantageous.Previous telemetry technician experience is a plus.Licenses and Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Certified Nursing Assistant License required.Skills and Abilities
