Seeking an exceptional leader to join ourteam as Director of Engineering a critical role at the forefrontof our mission to deliver high-reliability, cutting-edge electronicsolutions for defense, aerospace, and other high-stakesindustries. As Director of Engineering, you will lead talentedteams for Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, andTest Engineering, partner across functions, and make a lastingimpact on product integrity, customer satisfaction, andoperational excellence.

Education :

Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.

MBA or other advanced degree or certifications related toresponsibilities, preferred.

Experience / Requirements :

Ten years of Engineering leadership experience in an electronicmanufacturing environment.

In-depth knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes including SMT, through-hole technology, circuit card assembly, box build assembly and functional test.

Thorough knowledge of quality management systems andprocedures including ISO / AS 9100, ASQ, NADCAP as well asensuring the companys QMS system complies with all external(independent and customer) requirements and audits.

Thorough knowledge of quality procedures and methodologies,including ISO / AS9100, Six Sigma, Lean, and failure reporting andcorrective action system.

Familiar with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).

Understanding of Government procurement procedures and in-depth knowledge of Government contract work.

Excellent leadership, program / project management, contract, andOEM operations management with experience in relevanttechnology-based companies in regulated markets.

Experience with implementing Lean tools / methods (ToyotaProduction System, Standard work, 5S, Total PreventiveMaintenance, 1 piece flow, Set Up Reduction, Poka Yoke).

Knowledge of work standards and visual manufacturinginstructions.

Knowledge of IPC standards and NADCAP accreditation.

Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

Some travel required on an as needed basis.

Six Sigma Black Belt certification, preferred.

Possess or have the ability to obtain a U.S. Governmentgranted security clearance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

Provides overall direction to the Companys Engineering department,ensuring the highest level of service is maintained for both internal andexternal customers.

Delivers products and services that meet cost, quality and timeexpectations by working collaboratively with customers, peers andother employees.

Markets engineering services to existing customers and develop newbusiness opportunities.

Provides direction and motivation to engineering staff to ensuresuccessful execution of the engineering responsibilities on allprograms.

Assesses and manages employee capabilities and determines staffingneeds to meet current and future business needs. Provideperformance management and developmental opportunities to existingstaff as well as recruit new talent in order to meet technical gaps.

Leads and mentors teams of engineers responsible for productionprocesses, quality performance, and continuous improvement effortswithin the entire organization.

Develops and executes the strategic technology vision androadmap to address new and emerging equipment and processingtechnologies.

Implements the Engineering Department strategic initiatives tosuccessfully meet current and future operational requirements.

Participates and contributes to the implementation and successfulperformance against the business AOP.

Establishes goals and objectives for the Engineering team that stretchboundaries by detailing specific continuous improvement activitiesfocused on enhancing internal processes.

Ensures internal processes and programs produce products that meetor exceed customers expectations.

Interacts both vertically and horizontally in a way that commands bothpersonal respect and mission acceptance.

Acts as a change agent for improvement initiatives.

Possesses the ability and interpersonal skills to influence all levelsof the organization.

Retains and hires a world-class staff and develops a winning culture inline with companys vision and values.

Administers all Human Resources programs and policies (includingselection, promotion, transfers, salary administration and termination)without regard to race, religion, sex, national origin, age or handicap).
