  • Location : Olympia, Washington (98506) – Washington nursing jobs\n
  • Assignment Length : 13-week travel contract\n
  • Start Date : December 2, 2025\n
  • End Date : March 3, 2026\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1650-$1770\n
  • Shift : Day shifts, 3x12-Hour shifts per week (07 : 00 - 19 : 30)\n
  • Hours per Week : 36\n
  • Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts per month or every other weekend\n
  • Unit : Medical-Surgical 3rd Floor (Oncology focus)\n
  • Patient Ratio : 1 : 5\n
  • Charting : EPIC electronic health record\n
  • Floating : Required within similar Med / Surg units\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington or Compact state\n
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg RN experience (3 years preferred)\n
  • Oncology nursing experience required; Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred\n
  • BLS certification (AHA required)\n
  • Proficiency with EPIC charting system\n
  • Ability to float between similar medical-surgical units\n
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills\n
  • Travel nurses must reside more than 50 miles from the facility\n

    • \n\nMed / Surg RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on a Med / Surg Oncology unit\n
  • Administer medications, monitor patient status, and document care using EPIC\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)\n
  • Utilize rapid response / code teams as needed\n
  • Manage peripheral lines, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive airway management\n
  • Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions\n
  • Float to similar Med / Surg units as required\n
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for patients and staff\n
