Medical Assistant II

SUMMARY

In your role as Medical Assistant II , you will report to the Clinic Leadership. Your responsibilities will include

assisting clinic physicians, physician assistant, and nurse practitioners in the care of patients in a family

practice / primary care environment.

DUTIES

• Perform chart prep activities per current checklist in advance of patient visit to ensure complete records available
• Assist in ensuring previous test results and procedure results are present and documented accurately in the EMR
• Verify patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, confirming purpose of visit
• Perform preliminary physical tests; take blood pressure, weight, and temperature; document patient history summary
• As directed by provider, provide educational information to patients and instructions, answering questions
• Evaluate need for and perform Tobacco, SHA, TB, Audit C, PHQ2 and all required screenings by monitoring the

scope of MA practice. Ensure two-person verification of all immunizations prior to giving and signing off

laboratory

for follow-up
