About the Role
Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their Review Team, supporting nonprofit engagements. This position is ideal for someone with smaller-firm experience who enjoys hands-on audit and review work in a collaborative, flexible environment. The Staff Accountant will work directly with experienced managers and team members to deliver high-quality review and compilation engagements focused on nonprofit clients.
This role offers flexible scheduling and is perfect for an auditor who values meaningful work, professional balance, and a culture that prioritizes people over long hours.
Responsibilities
Assist with review and compilation engagements for nonprofit organizations.
Prepare and organize workpapers, schedules, and supporting documentation using CCH ProSystem fx Engagement.
Apply firm methodology and best practices through Knowledge Coach templates and checklists.
Perform analytical procedures and assist in identifying accounting and reporting issues.
Collaborate with team members and managers to ensure timely, accurate completion of engagements.
Maintain compliance with professional standards and firm policies.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
4+ years of public accounting experience, ideally within a smaller firm.
Strong background in nonprofit accounting and financial statement preparation.
Experience with CCH ProSystem fx Engagement and Knowledge Coach preferred.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable in a remote, collaborative setting.

Requirements
Active CPA license required. 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
