Job description

We are seeking a Commercial Lending Development Officer for the Direct Lending Department.

The Commercial Lending Development Officer is expected to be engaged with the business community to build market equity and identify emerging needs for product development and reform through high touch service to smaller businesses. The incumbent must possess qualities that can deliver results and align with our cooperative and service-minded culture. This role will be assigned annual productivity goals which will be achieved by their abilities to serve and support our commercial members and create a network of referral partners for success. The incumbent is required to stay abreast of trends in the commercial lending industry, to inform management of potential impacts to our business quality and quantity.

  • Development and maintenance of a quality pipeline of referral relationships that serve as a consistent source of new commercial lending opportunities for Credit Human.
  • Attract new commercial loans by developing relationships within the community, specifically within the business community
  • Proactively seek opportunities to continually improve your knowledge and skills as it relates to your specific and general accountabilities.

Experience : Required

  • 2 or more years of sales / origination experience in commercial lending / business banking.

    • Preferred

  • Experience standing up / establishing new markets
  • Experience with networking, building, managing a network referral source.

    • Education : Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field of study.

    • Skills & Knowledge : Required

  • Effective skills to achieve desired results for the commercial origination function
  • Build relationships and partnerships.
  • Bilingual; Spanish and English
  • Ability to interact and influence all levels of an organization, regardless of direct authority.
  • Understand and interpret complex financial statements for businesses.
  • Effective communication to other professionals, regulators, and credit union staff.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and initiatives to meet stated objectives.
  • Results and service oriented with a strong focus on the member small businesses.
  • Ability to tailor communication style to different audiences and exercise good judgment in frequency and nature of communications to different parties.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Ability to influence and foster collaborative relationships.

    • Schedule : Monday -Friday, 8 : 30 am-5 : 30 pm

    Salary Range : $75,987 to $83,697 Annually; 7.5% bonus potential

    Flexibility : In office, on site; not remote or hybrid

    Level of Work : 2C
