PRODUCT CONFIGURATION SPECIALIST

The Product Configuration Manager / Continuous Improvement position assists and leads various team members in maintaining and improving quoting and ordering custom products processes and procedures. This ensures proper information flow throughout entire order fulfillment value stream from quoting through delivery and includes after sales parts and service.

Responsibilities

• Defines and manages product configuration rules
• Maintains and improves product models, attributes, and options in designated configuration software
• Oversees parts, pricing and labor costs in configurator
• Reviews and approves all product configuration changes and updates
• Facilitates configurator process audits
• Assists in finalizing quote / bid information for senior leader review and approvals
• Coordinates and improves bill of materials structures
• Improves business processes from quoting to order entry through better standards and procedures
• Leads small teams in solving business problems associated with BOMs structure, quoting, and order entry procedures
• Ensures bill of materials accuracy for online after sales catalogs and product manuals
