Must work 1 late day per week to cover cases extending beyond 5 : 30 PM. Position Overview : Albany Medical Center is seeking an experienced Travel RN for its Electrophysiology Lab (EP Lab) to join a dynamic healthcare team. This role involves supporting interventional cardiac electrophysiology procedures, patient monitoring, and collaborating with physicians and EP technologists. Candidates must be proficient with EP Lab protocols and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Key Responsibilities : Assist in the preparation and execution of electrophysiology studies and ablation procedures. Monitor patients during procedures including sedation, hemodynamic status, and cardiac rhythm. Administer medications as directed and respond promptly to changes in patient condition. Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic EMR . Collaborate with physicians, EP technologists, and support staff to ensure safe and efficient patient care. Participate in the care and maintenance of EP Lab equipment and ensure appropriate sterilization protocols. Comply with infection control and patient safety standards. Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding procedures and care plans. Required Qualifications : Active RN license (New York State or compact, if applicable). Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in an Electrophysiology Lab or similar cardiac catheterization environment. Epic EMR experience is REQUIRED. BLS and ACLS certifications required. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Comfortable with late shifts (1 day / week beyond 5 : 30 PM).
