Must-Have : Full scope OB / GYN with high-risk pregnancy experience

Description :

Clinic and call needed for 8 weeks.

Clinic hours are 4 days a week from 8 AM to 5 PM.

On-call responsibilities occur every 4th or 5th day.

After being on call, physicians are off.

Call includes coverage for both OB and GYN for assigned and unassigned patients.

Average number of deliveries during a 24-hour call is approximately 2.

Candidates must be able to manage severe preeclampsia and preterm labor down to 23 weeks.

Patient encounters per shift are expected to be around 20.

Level 3 trauma facility.

Specialty skills required include :

Managing low-risk and high-risk pregnancies.

Interpreting fetal heart rate via NST, CST, and FSE.

Performing and interpreting OB ultrasounds, including Level I and Level II.

Conducting amniocentesis.

Conducting routine deliveries, including vaginal births and low forceps deliveries.

Making decisions for C-sections and managing complicated deliveries.

Performing C-sections, including breech presentations and multiple births.

Managing abruptions and VBACs.

Repairing 3rd and 4th degree lacerations.

Handling office / minor gynecology procedures, such as IUD placements, cystoscopies, colposcopies, cryosurgery, and LEEP procedures.

Conducting surgical gynecology procedures, including open surgeries.

Performing laparoscopic diagnostic and minor procedures, such as tubal ligation.

Managing operative major cases, including ectopic pregnancies and cystectomies.

Holding laser certification is required.
