Budget Execution Analyst
Alpha Omega is actively looking for a Budget Execution Analyst to support budgeting, financial reporting within a government setting. Key responsibilities include conducting in-depth financial analysis and monitoring budget activity to support compliance with the operating plan and prevent Anti-Deficiency Act violations. Additionally, the role involves evaluating the impact of internal and external policy changes on budget execution, proactively identifying solutions, and collaborating with stakeholders to provide training, guidance, and support on Budget Execution (BE) processes.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, and a minimum of five years in federal budget execution and / or accounting. Candidates should have deep knowledge of OMB Circular A-11, federal accounting standards, and the full spectrum of federal budget execution processes. Advanced quantitative, accounting, and financial analysis skills, with expert-level proficiency in tools such as Excel, are essential. The ability to analyze complex data sets, conduct research, identify anomalies, and deliver actionable recommendations aligned with organizational goals is also required. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams, are necessary. The capacity to work both independently and collaboratively is also important.
The likely salary range for this position is $112,000-$168,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
