A small, dynamic aerospace manufacturer specializing in composite structures is seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician with strong precision assembly and bonding experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will contribute to high-quality bonding of metallic components to composites, with some filament winding experience and a knack for working on small, precision features.
Key Responsibilities :
Bond metallic components to composite structures using a variety of adhesive systems and bonding processes.
Perform precision assembly tasks, including alignment of parts using appropriate fixtures, fasteners (nuts and bolts), and inspection criteria.
Apply masking and prepping steps for bonding surfaces; ensure cleanliness and surface readiness prior to bonding.
Mix adhesives by hand when required, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and process specifications.
Conduct injection bonding and butter bonding processes as specified, monitor cure cycles, and document results.
Manage material weighing with a precision scale to ensure correct mix ratios and batch records.
Prepare, cut, and trim small features as needed using scalpels or precision cutting tools; maintain sharp tools and safe handling practices.
Maintain a clean, organized work area; follow shop floor standards, safety protocols, and cleanroom / contamination control procedures.
Inspect bonded assemblies for alignment, fit, and cosmetic quality; document non-conformances and escalate as needed.
Support quality control by recording process parameters, inspection results, and material usage in the manufacturing log.
Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to improve bonding processes and reduce cycle times without compromising quality.

Required Skills & Experience
2+ years of hands-on experience in a similar manufacturing role, preferably in aerospace or high-precision composites environments.
Proven experience with precision assembly, bonding, and alignment of components.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality workmanship.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Some layup experience is highly desirable.
