Inventory Analyst
Position will be hybrid - required to be in a plant location at least three days a week (request could increase on specific weeks) and will work from home the remainder of the week. Fifty to sixty percent travel - position will be required to travel to various plant locations across the division to assist with inventory. Typical Monday - Friday 8-4 or 9-5 schedule, but additional hours may be required as needed.
Position Responsibilities
- Set inventory levels for Pratt Industries Retail Specialty locations to meet high customer demand.
- Conduct analysis to anticipate and resolve potential problems.
- Prepare and place orders from distribution centers and outside vendors.
- Work with vendors to expedite shipments and resolve shipping issues.
- Work with freight carriers to assure on-time delivery and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Assist other analysts as needed.
- Work safely at all times, be aware of surroundings and understand and comply with Pratt Industries Safety rules, operating procedures, and help hold co-workers responsible for safety related items. Participate in Plant Safety Committee.
- Follow at all times GMPs (Good Manufacturing Processes).
- Must be able to work overtime as necessary, sometimes on short notice. We serve our customers 24x7 365 days a year and sometimes work on holidays not avoidable.
- Additional duties may be assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree.Three to five years purchasing experience.Retail, packaging, grocery or industrial distribution inventory management experience a plus.Detailed-oriented with an ability to analyze and understand large volumes of data.Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure.Proficient with Excel spreadsheets. Proven AS400 experience preferred.Language Skills
Excellent communication skills.Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales reports, operating instructions, and training and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure.Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, costs, proportions, and volumes.Reasoning Ability
