Old Dominion Insulation is seeking a Superintendent to coordinate operations and oversee multiple crews of insulation workers on commercial and industrial job sites from start to finish. They are responsible for ensuring insulation projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget, in accordance with drawings, specifications, and local codes. This role includes direct supervision of field crews, managing materials and equipment, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting company standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

• Direct and oversee insulation crews, ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, and safety standards.
• Organize and assign crew work methods, scheduling, and manpower.
• Plan, coordinate, and track project milestones to ensure timely completion.
• Ensure crews have adequate manpower, insulation materials, and tools for each job.
• Maintain and inventory insulation materials, tools, and equipment.
• Identify and assign appropriate crews for each project based on scope.
• Communicate schedules and job expectations clearly to crew members.
• Ensure insulation work areas are kept safe, clean, and organized.
• Accurately track crew time and submit weekly timesheets.
• Maintain strong client relationships and serve as the companys representative on-site.
• Provide technical support and guidance to crew members in the field.
• Lead daily huddles and safety meetings to identify potential risks and set productivity goals.
• Perform quality control checks on insulation installations.
• Coordinate project logistics including material deliveries, equipment use, and labor needs.
• Monitor and track job costing, productivity, and forecasting.
• Review work in progress daily and prepare look-ahead schedules.
• Manage and communicate change orders.
• Document and report project status, including progress, safety, and quality metrics.
• Attend progress meetings and represent the company in a professional manner.
• Provide on-the-job training for new crew members.
• Ensure insulation equipment is inspected and maintained in good condition.
• Participate in pre-job walks and turnover meetings.
• Support estimating and proposal efforts when required.
• Enforce OSHA and company safety standards consistently.
• Proactively communicate barriers to productivity, safety, or quality with management.
