Responsibilities Work in a pediatric float pool setting, floating to NICU, PICU, pediatric medsurg, pediatric ED boarders, and postpartum / mother baby units Shift is days (3x12 hours, 7 : 00-19 : 00) Assignment is 13 weeks long, with 36 or 48 hours per week Every other weekend is required Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays during the contract Epic EMR experience is required Primary responsibilities include providing nursing care to various pediatric populations as needed based on unit assignment Will float to multiple pediatric units within the scope of practice Completion of required modules during orientation is necessary Maximum 40 hours of RTO permitted per 13-week contract Must work within team settings and adapt to diverse pediatric care environments First-time travelers will be considered Requirements Active VA or compact RN license, pending accepted but must be in hand by the Wednesday before start Minimum 2 years of recent PICU experience required Previous NICU experience required Current certifications : BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS Dr Browns Infant Driven Feeding certification required (may be pending at time of submission) BSN preferred References required for consideration Nursys verification required Must adhere to facility's float policy Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-632926.
