Job SummaryThe Obstetrician / Gynecologist (OB / GYN) is responsible for providing medical care to women relating to pregnancy or childbirth; responsible for treating, testing, diagnosing and monitoring diseases and provide general care to women.Responsibilities
Provide compassionate, appropriate and effective clinical care for patients of all ages100% outpatient careMaintain good quality medical recordsWork within a team collaborative model at a Patient Centered Medical HomeAdvocate for quality care on behalf of patients and the organizationProvide care and treatment to women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods.Diagnose, treat, and monitor diseases, disorders, and conditions.Prescribe appropriate medications to treat patients in accordance with standardized procedures and company policy.Perform pap smears, pelvic and breast exams.Conduct mood and emotional well-being assessments during post-partum appointment.Collaborate and consult with other medical and non-medical personnel.Effectively monitor patients progress throughout treatment plan and care and provide continuous improvement on patient outcomes.Educate patients on importance of treatment plans and communicate side effects and risk of medications prescribed.Educate patients on disease prevention and reproductive health.Demonstrate effective and detailed written documentation skills.Conduct routine check-up appointments and maintain follow up throughoutDemonstrate excellent customer service and communication with patients.Able to multitask and manage assigned projects and tasks as directed.All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Requirements
MD / DO degreeSuccessful completion of residency and / or fellowshipObstetrical trainingLicensed in the state of New York and / or Pennsylvania or willingness to obtain licensureBoard Certified or Board EligibleDEA Certification requiredAbility to demonstrate excellent independent judgment, problem-solving, analytical and collaborative skills in order to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, providing patient centered leadership and directionMust have the emotional intelligence that may include, but not limited to, patience, sensitivity and the compassion to work with patients that may be stressed, anxious, and difficultAbility to work as a team.Must have strong computer skills.Must demonstrate detailed, effective writing / documentation and verbal skills.Benefits Package
