This position is in a fast paced multi-specialty clinic that includes Heart Failure, EP, Interventional cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Pulmonary patients. Clinic nurse role includes direct patient care in clinic and ongoing care coordination for symptom management, prescription refills and other patient needs. Other duties to include telephonic triage for our cardiovascular clinics. Will handle urgent symptom calls, questions regarding medication management, plan of care and emergent prescription refills.
The RN is able to coordinate to bring patients in for same day appointment visits and reduce emergency room utilization and hospital readmission rates. Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

RN License issued by the State of California.

BLS/CPR and ACLS certification at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six (6) months of hire date.

Must have a minimum one year of active nursing experience.

ICU/ER/Cardiology/Stroke/Vascular and/or transplant experience.

Recent Clinic experience.

Annual Full Pay Range: $170,485 - $170,485 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $81.65 - $81.65
