  • AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, women's services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.
  • AdventHealth Tampa is home to the renowned AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, a recognized leader in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and leading-edge research - caring for Tampa Bay's hearts for over 35 years.

    • The role you'll contribute :

    The Occupational Therapist provides self-directed, effective therapy to patients in accordance with the Florida Occupational Therapy Association standards and pursuant to the Florida Department of Professional Regulation, Chapter 468.203 (3) : "Occupational Therapist means a person licensed to practice occupational therapy as defined in this act and whose license is in good standing."

  • The Occupational Therapist will practice within the Scope of Standards of Occupational Therapy practice.
  • Evaluation : Collection of comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation; Performs consults as indicated .
  • Re -Evaluation : Performs assessments as indicated due to changes in patient's medical condition that will alter the OT treatment plan previously determined.
  • Reassessment : Evaluates progress toward attainment of expected outcomes.
  • Treatment Plan : Analyzes the assessment data to determine course of treatment.
  • Goal Setting : Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation.
  • Planning : The patient's plan of care is developed to attain expected outcomes.

    • Qualifications

    The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program with a specific degree / major in Occupational Therapy .
  • Current Florida Occupational Therapy license .
  • Current BLS from American Heart Association.
