Impact Recruiting Solutions is currently seeking a CAT Scan Technologist to fill an opening with an Article 28 facility located in Brooklyn, New York

Responsibilities

Patient Care and Preparation :

  • Patient Positioning : Accurately positioning patients for CT scans to capture the specific area of interest.
  • Patient Education : Explaining the procedure to patients, answering questions, and addressing concerns about the scan.
  • Contrast Administration : Administering intravenous contrast agents as required for enhanced imaging, following established protocols.
  • Monitoring Patients : Observing patients during the scan, ensuring their comfort and safety, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Emergency Response : Assisting in emergency situations during scanning, if necessary.
  • Maintaining Patient Records : Accurately documenting all procedures and updating patient records.

    • Technical Responsibilities :

    Operating CT Equipment :

    Proficiently operating the CT scanner and related equipment to acquire high-quality images.

    Image Review and Analysis :

    Evaluating images for quality, clarity, and accuracy, ensuring they meet diagnostic standards.

    Equipment Maintenance :

    Performing routine checks and maintenance on the CT scanner to ensure its proper functioning.

    Quality Control :

    Participating in quality control measures to maintain the accuracy and reliability of the equipment.

    Radiation Safety :

    Adhering to strict radiation safety protocols to minimize patient and staff exposure.

    Collaboration and Communication :

  • Radiologist Collaboration : Working closely with radiologists to interpret images and report findings.
  • Communication : Effectively communicating with patients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Record Keeping : Ensuring accurate documentation of all procedures and results.
  • Staying Updated : Continuously learning about new technologies and advancements in CT imaging.

    • Requirements

  • Must have an active NY State License
  • Must have experience as an CAT Scan Technologist
