Pay Range
Base Pay Range : $7,276.00 - $9,107.00. Pay range provided by California Department of Managed Health Care; actual pay based on skills and experience.
Job Description and Duties
Under the general supervision of the Staff Services Manager II (SSM II) in the Office of Program Management (OPM), Division of Provider Networks (DPN), the incumbent performs high?profile, sensitive and complex specialized assignments involving broad policy issues that impact statewide program activities. The Health Program Specialist II serves as a project manager for program?related activities associated with planning, implementation, and monitoring of the requirements of Senate Bill 221 and amendments to Rule 1300.67.2.2.
The incumbent monitors project timelines, performs research, facilitates meetings, conducts high?level analyses, compiles data independently, and drafts written material on complex policy matters related to Senate Bill 221 and provider network adequacy. The incumbent advises program staff and the Deputy Director on complex policy issues, providing recommendations, subject matter expertise, and technical assistance.
Working Conditions
Locations : Downtown Sacramento and Rancho Cordova, both near light?rail. Work in a climate?controlled cubicle / office environment with artificial lighting. Hybrid telework may be eligible; telework schedule is subject to operational needs and State Telework Policy. Teleworkers must be California residents.
