Job Title : Registered Nurse II Profession : Nursing Specialty : Long-Term Care Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Variable Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week Experience : 1 year of Long-Term Care experience required License : Current State Registered Nurse license Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), TEAM / BERT within 90 days of hire Must-Have : - Charge experience - Experience with Matrix Care charting Description : Registered Nurses can independently plan and implement routine nursing care in predictable situations using standards and knowledge obtained during education and preceptorship. RNs begin to assume leadership responsibility and require minimal supervision. An RN will have the ability to use accurate, clear, and concise oral and written communication. RNs will work as a team and maintain effective working relationships. They must use critical thinking skills, analyze, and communicate findings effectively. Matrix Care charting is utilized in the unit. Incumbents require basic computer literacy and the ability to effectively learn new software programs. They must efficiently operate a variety of automated office equipment such as print, copy, scan, fax machines, and calculators. RNs are expected to establish a float in at least one primary area within one year of hire. Shifts are variable, and weekends are required on a rotating basis. Employees will not work alone, and no on-call duties are required. The nurse-to-patient ratio on the unit is 1 : 15-1 : 21 during the day and 1 : 25 at night. The unit has 61 beds, with 54 currently filled. Dress code is scrubs.
